TOPIC: 1978 85hp w/ tilt and trim

So after sitting two years I finally got the boat out and the tilt/trim is leaking from somewhere. Are they repairable? Are parts available? Anyone know what I’m getting myself into?

Here's an exploded diagram of your PT&T assembly, lots of parts n' pieces and many are still available. Hopefully it's a seal or O-ring, as the major parts are quite expensive.

If you have a cylinder failure or other catastrophic problem, you might find good used parts on eBay.
