Tempo fuel tanks 6 years 4 months ago #137226

I am having trouble posting pics but I acquired 2 creme colored tempo tanks with the purchase of a mercury mark 75. A search of the internet didnt bring up anything similar the came off a kit hydroplane and almost appear to have been made just for that but I am not positive any help would be appreciated

Tempo has made fuel tanks for a long time and come in many different shapes and sizes. What are the dimensions and capacity.

If you're having trouble with pics try downsizing them to around 1000 pixels and just drag them under your post and then "insert"

If I am reading your dimensions right(22 in x 7in x 7 in) they must be only about 2 or 3 gallons each? Pretty small for most of our gas guzzeling old girls. It wouldn't take long to suck one of those dry with my 115 hp Merc !! That wouldn't be much of a " Long Cruise".

Is there anything wrong with them? Some of their fiberglass tanks had issues with the newer gasolines.

No they are in good shape and metal I got them out of an old hydroplane and they almost appear to have been marketed towards that they have plumable vents and fillers so I think they were definitely designed to be installed down in

Yeah agreed they were installed in a hydro plane with a 60hp mercury so I’m thinking just enough fuel to make a few runs with
