Cold weather is coming up north. What is the best way to treat the fuel system for 6 months of sitting and preventing gum formation and deterioration of carb internals and fuel lines. Fogging oil, Sta-bil? Drain the system?

Any of the fuel stabilizers will do the job. I use Sta-Bil myself. Add the stuff before you fog your motor so that the treated fuel is into the entire fuel system.

With my outboards I generally disconnect the fuel line at the ramp, then run them out of fuel. Store for the winter with the leg down.
