TOPIC: Old Merc mechanics in western Wisconsin?

Old Merc mechanics in western Wisconsin? 8 years 10 months ago #132144

I'm looking for someone that can work on a 1957 Mercury Mark 75. I thought I could tackle it myself, but it's too complicated for my non mechanical mind. I rebuilt the fuel pumps because they were easy to get to. The rest is so buried I'm afraid I'll do more harm than good.

Anyway, does anyone know of a mechanic in mid western Wisconsin that can work on it? I have the carb rebuild parts already.

TIA

I am thinking you want to talk with Darrel of classicmercuryoutboards.com He is located in Hayward,Wisconsin. He works on and restores old mercs but also runs the Mercury dealership. Depending your location, you may want to find Minnesotafox on here. He is an hour west of LaCrosse and believe he has tons of vintage Mercury expertise. Not sure what he may work on but doesn't hurt to ask. Good luck!
