Picked up another boat but the metalflake on port bow area has some scratches. Can they be buffed out?

Metal flake is notoriously hard to repair. Try it. Shouldn't be any worse than the scratch.

Had several spots on our Hallett daycruiser metal flake repaired and the guy did an outstanding job. Since I had the original metal flakes he mixed it with the resin and applied it like paint then sanded and polished. I was and am still impressed.

This paint is not the normal high gloss finish that you see on some of the bass boats. It has more of a sandy feel to it. I'll buff and polish and be satisfied.
