The Missile is in the water. Looks cool. Nailed the water line on this one. I have tried the 3 blade 23P prop and it is too much. Prop can't get a bite before it aerates. I just put on a 22Px14 2 blade stainless prop. Will try it later this morning.

Power Cat stbd motor has problems. Chinewalker has graciously been working on it, but it appears to be something that will take a significant effort to correct. Will probably launch it and tow it to the island so I can continue finishing work and hardware installation over the next couple weeks.

She's beautiful Brian!
Speaking of beautiful - do those water lillies bloom all at once?

Just came in off the River and testing the 22x14 2 blade stainless. I have two words....H-O-L-Y S-H-I-T!!! Time to change my underwear. Will try to get someone to take a photo later. The 2 blade did the trick. A little slip then BAM it digs and you are in launch mode.

How many RPM's at full throttle with each? If the 23 is better at speed, it can be vented to help holeshot.

I'm going to stay with the 2 blade. I've changed out the trim tab for the larger blade, and the 22 stainless did better than the 3 blade 23 on the Manta Ray. I'm happy. Don't need more speed...trust me....there's plenty. Don't have a tach so don't know what I'm turning.

Tried to get some performance shots after dinner tonight. Too rough for high speed runs. Here's a tail end shot at about half throttle. You get the idea. Will try again in the morning.

Brian, that's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Gorgeous boat. I hope my '60 Clipper looks that good once it's done. It won't, but it's my first restoration. I think I've caught the desease and I'm not even finished with my first! I really want to restore a Chris Craft or Centry all wood speedster. Cost too much though. Everyone has to have a dream right?

Again Great looking boat I'm jealous! ;)

That's suweet! Nice job. Always been a soft spot in my heart for 'kit' boats.
Believe I still have some scale plans for a little Glen-L 3 point hydro around here somewhere.
One of these days I'm gonna build one. All tough stuff composite & epoxy. Soon as I hit the lottery...

My Dad was a big fan of kits too. Here's one before my time: Don't know what model it is.
I'm told it was powered by a Chrysler V8. Sadly family legend has it the boat had a tendency to sink
