TOPIC: Spotlight Question

I have a spotlight question for my old Lonestar. I want to add a spotlight for night riding. There are many options. Im looking for a light that can be stowed and when needed, clamped to the top of the windshield. I don't want to drill anymore holes. I want the clamp to have a swivel. And it can be plugged in to the lighter. Can anyone recommend anything?

You could use a spotting scope window clamp. Most have handles and can be tightened down so you can take your hands off it without shining the deck or sky. Walmart has a Bushnell mount for $25. You can put any kind of light you want on it, like a KC Daylighter with a hole for a toggle switch and lighter cord for power. Just be careful not to draw more power than the socket can handle.

One word of caution with your theory here: if your windshield is plexiglass be careful about how much weight you clamp onto it. Especially aged plexi gets pretty brittle, you might be creating a problem doing it this way. If your windshield is true glass, not scratching it is your only problem I would think.
