TOPIC: Better late than never?

Better late than never? 14 years 5 months ago #11268

The nice red & white seats we ordered back on May 20 will be at the house when I get home tonight. Only problem is I need to pack and get ready for our trip over to Perry, then Hammondsport, NY tomorrow for the ACBS meet there. On top of that, the heat index is in the mid-90's, not real comfortable weather to be workin on da boat. Never fails eh folks?

Glad the hear those seats are finally gonna at least make it to the house. I hear ya 'bout the heat, it's back up in the "almost unbearable" range down here too. If I've got any outside work to do, I try to get it done early in the morning. Can't wait to see the pics of those beautiful seats in the PC next week. You guys be careful this weekend, we'll expect a report on the ACBS meet when you get back, okay!?

Thanks Mark. Just got home, seats aren't here yet, but Fed Ex says they went out at 7:30 this a.m. for delivery. We must be the last stop.

Thanks Ron! Got the seats in too, just haven't done anything else. We'll take it easy.

Here's the story of the seats in pics...

They look great in the PC Frank, and I'll be your rear end (and more importantly your back) will like them too!

Thanks guys. They did a job on my back just getting them in! They're okay for now, but I'd like to figure a way to drop them some. Also, I may end up moving the controls to accommodate the new position of the captain's seat. But for now, they will do given the ACBS show we're heading to today! First stop is Tim Calmes for some max spark advance setting on the old merc, and maybe a bit of link & sync. Then we'll see what the old girl will do!

I'd get some 303 Protectant on them as soon as you can, Frank. Doug (V153) recommended the stuff to me, and it is worth every penny, IMHO! I know that was a pretty big investment, and why let the sun/weather get a headstart on deteriorating the material. Enjoy your weekend, bud!
