TOPIC: big anchor

I have been looking for an unusual old anchor for quite a while.I wanted yard art.I ve had a couple of salvage companies watching for me and nothing,, I got a lead when I was in Fla boat show,so on my way Home I took a 8hr turn and went to New Orleans and bought both of them,, they are 7 1/2 ft wide and 10ft tall and weigh 1.7 ton, each.I have the one planted in my yard now, we had to put a 2 ton counter weight in the ground then welded the anchor on top,I am doing a bunch of neat things,,I ll post when done,I told the guys on the chat I would post so take a look Bill

WOW!! That looks real neat with the heavy chain.
I took my daughter to Duluth Mn. for her birthday a couple weeks back and saw some very big anchors and chain at the water front. They are amazing up close.
