A friend of mine just picked up a pretty cool old vintage aluminum boat, possibly mid 50s. No make, no tags, nothing. Registration states Home Made. Anyway, I've never seen these controls before. Pretty cool looking, we think, with interesting control cable ends. What is it?

Looks like a twin stick throttle only control- perhaps for twin pre-gearshift motors?

These are the control ends that I mentioned. Pretty slick we think.

That was what I thought when first seeing the pic of those controls.

Years ago I bought a MK58A and my brother & I picked up a 13' wooden ski boat for dirt cheap. It had a set of controls just like those, that we adapted to the MK58. It was a fun summer of skiing on a budget!

That's a pretty nice set of controls, very good condition. You should be able to unscrew the ends & adapt to a different mfr's motor.

Cheers....ed
