Out of the weeds and coming along nicely. Finished the inside of the hull and flipped her over. As expected, very slight hook in bottom on both sides between the fiberglass stringers. (Bell Boy like Skagit used the 1/2 paper tube glassed in with mat for stringers. Makes the stringers bombproof but the space between the stringers was low 1/8 to 1/16th on both sides. Made short work (all day) of it with marine filler and 36 grit on my air file! Next 80 grit and then 120-150. Then primer)
I was suprised how fair you can get it with a long block and sandpaper. The air file reached accross the whole span so that helped a lot. A few touch up spots and she will be fair for and aft and side to side.
Bye the bye, Marty from Island Boat Shop turned me on to a marine parts supplier here in the PNW. Called Dunato's Second Wave in Seattle. 206-632-4371. They had the Banshee parts I thought I would never find! Mike

Looks like the Banshee is coming along nicely Mike, I know this part has to be the hardest. (Drudgery, I call it.) Glad to hear you found a source for your parts, that'll help a bunch!

Yep!! Got the hull in primer. Two coats of pre-kote. Blue-glo white Interlux next. Still got tons of hand sanding to do to get the hull where I want it for final finish. But its summer, I'm recovering from a 3 1/2 thyroid removal operation 9 days ago and need to take it easy for a while. My wonderful surgeon did not say I couldn't sand, just don't lift outboards!! LOL. My brain is out to kill my body but needs it for transportation. Mike

Great news on the progress!
Best wishes for that speedy recovery from the Op.

Agreed sanding is not lifting heavy objects! so in theory you have a medical clearance to get back to work on the Banshee

Cheers
and thanks for the update
