Owner seems to think Glasspar but I think not. First thought I had was Sea King but don’t see one like it in the Library.

Thanks,
Terry

TERRY the library for OWENs pics only go up to 1960, but the 1962 spec
sheet shows a 17 1/2 ft cruiser called "EXETER or a 19 ft model called
STAFFORD. . At this time of business merger 'CUTTER " was also in house &
history of BRUNSWICK merger has a mention of famous designer BROOKs STEVENS ( 1956 Cadillac -evinrude lark show boats) to be on board.. The box -y top looks to be
a Owens - Cutter . ? maybe 64-65 www.fiberglassics.com/library/File:Owensb60002.jpg
BINGO,, E-Bay mag ad literature vendor.. 1961 17 1/2 ft OWENS / BRUNSWICK EXETER ..
1962 vendor ad $6 Brunswick / OWENS 17 1/2 ft EXETER

Hey Larry,

Thanks much, that’s it, a 1962 Owens Exeter. Now we can let owner know what he actually has.

What I find interesting is the print ad shows that boat on the Chicago River at Michigan Avenue and that’s the Wrigley Building you see in the background.

From what I see in these ads The Owens Yacht Company was based in Baltimore although their subsidiary Cutter was building the smaller fiberglass boats in Tell City IN.
In 1960 they had been acquired by Brunswick whose Headquarters was in Chicago at that time.

Thanks,
Terry
