Anyone know where I can get a NOS or very good prop shaft seal housing? Mine keeps wanting to cock in the gear case housing (I believe that's where my leak is coming from). I was going to try locktite and prick punching but I'd rather get a good one to start with.

Ebay will almost always be the best bet. Does the outer rim of the housing appear worn? I'm having a tough time imagining how it is getting knocked out of alignment. That housing is held in position by the case. There is also a locating pin to keep the housing from spinning in the case.

Yes, it's worn on one side a little so it cocks. Also yes, it's 303050. Ouch - that's a lot of cash for a seal housing. Hopefully I don't have to resort to that, but at least it's there as a last resort. Thanks both of you for your help.

Well, I went to put the new housing in and it's the wrong one. Too big. I'm guessing it was mismarked. Hopefully it will fit my 58 Lark when I need it.
