TOPIC: Syncro drive Control

Syncro drive Control 11 years 5 months ago #79926

Does anyone know if this will work for my 59 35hp Lark. It was an add on for West Bend outboards and is in great shape.

It's a single lever design.

In a word, no, they won't connect to an OMC without changing the motor end connections, the control will work with any engine if the cables are right.

I know I had to change the ends and I think it will work. The ends screw off but I think I may be able to get the little ball ends that will convert the Evinrude shifter and throttle to accept these. They sale ball ends at the hardware store in stainless if they are of the right size. Control and cables work like new.

Looks very similar to a " brydon bouy " control with a different badge.

OK I looked it over and it turns out it is a Morse control.

I just dug it out from where I put it about 5 years ago for storage.
This is the ends I thonk I can make work. We will see.
