I think I'm going to look around for one of these and paint the gray blue. www.old-omc.de/e_1961/seite_04_05.jpg

These look nice but the blue is even sharper. My bought a new Glasspar Avalon around '64 and it had a blue Evinrude 60 or 65hp V-4 (I can't recall). Good looking motor, wish I still had that rig!

My buddy Dr. Frankenmerc (Thom) has a real nice 75hp Evinrude with the pretty blue and white paint, it's very clean inside and out. Looks like it's got very low hours/useage.

Maybe the next time I'm down his way I can persuade him to fire 'er off and post a vid........ed

p.s. attached a cool ad of a 60hp Sportfour along with what looks like either a 90 or 100hp.

Ed, will Doc let you in the shop now that you told everyone he's harboring an OMC fugitive in there?!
I agree, the old Evinrude and Johnson hoods are sleek.

Oh, Noes! Guess I let the Cat out of the Bag!!

The Evil Johnrude is relegated to a corner in the Doc's garage, all covered-up!

It's not allowed to mingle with Phantom Black motors!

I'm sure his story will be that he's holding it hostage in case he needs to hoist it by its petard and burn in effigy, as E.C.K. did, so long ago!!!!!

I think I'll rattle can this one back the original polychromatic blue & white. Originally thought about painting it the other original color choice dark metallic grey to blend with the light gray of the boat, but now like the blue too good to switch.

Don't they look cute together! Guess it's kinda like all those Youtube videos of puppies & cats (or cats & crows, etc etc) playing together nice. They just don't know any better! ;)

LOL Ed,I think they both are just glad to be in the dry instead of where the POs kept them(outside) and by the looks of it, the merc spent alot of time with it's wrap off. They know they had better get along or else.lol
