TOPIC: Looking for prop info

Looking for prop info 12 years 8 months ago #58910

I own a '61 Mccullough Royal Scott and the prop which came with it seems to be a OMC. 3/4" hole with 2 'keyways' , my shaft is just a 3/4" shaft with 1/4" shear pin and screw on cone held by cotter pin. When I look for other props, what should I look for that will fit? Like 3/4" shear pin props?

Ive just sold my royal scott so I canot give you the # off it, but I can tell you that a prop from most old omc's 35-40hp twins will fit, also the 2 "keyways" are just a relief for the sheer pin, if-when you break a pin it somtimes boogers up the shaft and this gives you a way to get it off without a hammer!

Thanks for the info. Now the 'keyways' make sense.
