I got a timing belt that is too short to fit my battery ignitions. Does the newer 67-68 80hp take a shorter belt?

How much too short ????
Timing belts are the same
68 models do not appear to use a belt at all.
Maybe you have a 10 amp generator drive belt ??????

I didn't even think about it being a generator drive belt. I bet your right Professor. Anyway if anyone needs a one of these, let me know.jim

i would be glad to take that off your hand. I have new gen set still in the box that I plan to put a 65 75hp V4
