Hi all -

Sorting out my dockbuster parts, I also found these, which I've tentatively ID'd as OMC.

Driveshaft dia. is .625", propshaft .840".

Anyone know which engines these fit?

They're surplus to me and someone can probably use 'em.

regards,

Terry

They look more like Chrysler/West Bend to me. Any chance of pics without the background clutter?

And here I thought a dockbuster would make a good prop for 'em. :)

But yes, I'll take another pic tomorrow and post it.

Thanks.

Yep, they're Chrysler/Force style. Probably 35-50hp size...

Here's a pic I hope is more useful.
I note the skeg on the rt has the aft portion apparently broken, and hard to see, but both have a notch cast in the leading edge of the gearcase, in line w/the oilfill screw.

Thanks.

Left one is late '80's Force, right has a fat bullet, probably mid '60's West Bend or Chrysler. I agree, 35-50hp.

Well, turns out the gear bullets are actually same size -white just appears larger.
So are they both Force or Chry/WB?

And one last question:
Should these have PN's on 'em somewhere?
Can't seem to find anything.

Thanks.

Hi Split -

Notice the rear of the skeg on the OMC is vertical, not sharply angled aft.

But thanks a bunch for your interest. :)

Well guys - :S

I posted the pic on a Chrysler forum and was told Chry/WB (except for very lo-HP) all have splined propshafts, have other than 6-bolt mating, different shiftrod and maybe different waterpump!

He thought maybe some sort of OMC, but Split's pic is different and my '58 35hp has a very noticeable bullet extension forward of the skeg, among other differences.

Dunno when shear pins were replaced by splined shafts, can anyone say?
That'd at least narrow my search window.

Thanks.

Never mind guys!
Embarrassing to say, but I'd forgotten about my Homelites - that's what these go to.

But thanks to all who tried to help. :-)
