Buddy of mine let me borrow a bronze two blade, pin drive prop to try with my '59 Fat Fifty and I'm trying to determine what pitch it is. It's a Michigan branded prop and has the marking of J C 450. Anyone have any info on it?

Google has turned up no results on it's size.

This may sound nuts but plug it into Ebay. I did that with the part number for the prop of my Fat FIfty and found the Michigan Prop PJ50 was the same diameter and pitch I was looking for 12 1/8 x 14 three blade.

Jeff -

Go on the GSG and send a PM to Rod Burkholder. He has a bunch of michigan lists.

Had a good time meeting all of you last weeeknd at Long Beach.

I have been looking since I saw this thread. One of the old motor or boat sites on the net either has a Michigan prop chart or a link to one. I am not talking about new motors but those in older than 1980 or so. It is a gold mine, now if I could just find it.

You too, Bruce! Anytime you want to come on down for a So. Cal meet, sans boat, you're more than welcome aboard ours!

Looking a little closer at the prop, it's not going to work. Shaft diameter is too small on the prop. Actually not sure what it fits... maybe the smaller twins but it's a pretty beefy prop for a twin in my opinion. Maybe for the smaller, more streamlined lower unit for the V4's? Jer said he thought it was a 16P....

Ohwells... It sure is a pretty prop though! Would be beautiful polished up!
