Hi all,
A friend of mine has an original, 1961 Evinrude Lark 40 on a 1961 Glasspar G-3. We would like to get some more power out of it, what can be done?
All I know of right now are aftermarket reeds, any help would be great!
Thanks,
Ben

Don't think there is much you can do to bump up the power on these. Best to make sure it is running properly as designed,(ie a tune up),and that you are getting proper rpm etc. That motor was not designed to be fast, but it does have plenty or power. If you really have a need for speed, your best option with be a bigger motor.

Thanks Michael.
We got it and it runs very nicely. Currently it has 10.5x12 prop. It has solid acceleration and no problem planing out. Any other prop reccomendations?
