I went and retrieved my engine hoist last night and in the next couple of days I hope to pull the 85 HP Evenrude off the Bobcraft. I am sure I can figure out where to get ahold of the motor to lift but I thought someone might have already figured out the trick thing to do.

There should be a metal eye on top of the motor just for lifting. I know all my V4s do. Taka a look under the hood.

Not sure the earlier one had the eye - if it does it'll be right behind the flywheel.

If it doesn't, you can loop a rope through a flywheel puller threaded into the three holes in the top of the flywheel. The bolts are 5/16" -24.

Failing that, you're up to making some sort of rigged rope harness looped under the belly pan - not the best way, but doable.
