ANYBODY Have a "DEAD" Late- 1960s BIG TWIN?? 4 years 7 months ago #142306

Friends,

I am in need of the complete transom clamping mechanism for a 1967 EVINRUDE Model 40753.
(A guy backed the boat/trailer into a concrete post & BROKE the clamp. = Everything else seems to be undamaged. )

IF anyone has a JUNK 40HP OMC, I would happily pay you for the clamping mechanism., as the rig is now "down for parts".

Yours, TMN78247

Oh man! I feel your pain. I once backed into a high curb and smakked off the lower unit.
Did you try eBay or craigslist?

These guys would probably have it. Don't know what the price would be though.

63Sabre,

I was NOT the person who did this. - Actually, I was at work at the time & returned home to find "the problem".
(Then, my so-called friend said that he didn't do it. - His GF "told off on him" & said that I should not "Be mad at my BF" & that "He couldn't help it"..)

YES, I tried ebay/craigslist & several other places on the WWW, W/O success.
(I did get several solicitations to buy a NEW outboard, however, at MSRP.= THANKS FOR NOTHING.)

yours, tex
