I had good success putting 2 single units together for my '56 Javelins.
Needed 2 boxes and 3 partitions.
Also had to bend the port engine throttle lever a little so it wouldn't interfere with the other throttle.
May also have re-angled the gear selector for clearance?
One of the halves had to be reversed as I recall.
