I see that the FD-10, 1956, is the first 15hp Johnson... I previously had a 1955 Evinrude 15hp, I still have an old 'Super Fastwin', which is missing the data plate, I assume, is a '53-'54... 15hp...?

My brother and I still have my Dad's 1955 Evinrude 15 that he bought new to put on his Dad's home made wooden fishing boat. Also have his 1956 Starcraft he bought the next year. Solid equipment. I learned to ski behind that rig. Not restored, just cared for the best we could. 5 generations in that rig and priceless memories! Nice motor you got there!

My Dad still has grandpa's '56 Alumacraft FD, and I just went through his '56 3hp Evinrude, still running great...

Awesome. Love those stories. Some just see old fashioned boats and motors...but when they are in the family for generations, truly my life memories are right there!
