OMC control Id..???? 10 years 1 month ago #101733

hi i picked up a set of Evinrude controls. that im not going to be needing and looking to sell.. but i'm not sure of the exact year of the controls and their fitment.. they look pre 80's to me.. if someone here could help me out with them.. they appear to have been mounted in a center console boat by the looks... hopefully the pics will post.

i kind of figured they were 70's controls... my old 83 200hp had different controls.... now to find a buyer..lol i know someone needs a set.. and someone's going to get a nice set of controls.. i might even check out the local OMC dealer and see if they have a set of Master keys.. and find the right keys for it..
i worked in a dealer when in high school.. and when people lost their keys we has a master set and tried each key till we found the right one and got the number off it..and pulled out a set.. they stocked all the keys back then..

The Power Pilot was used from 1973 until 1978.

"Red Plug" controls, the gang has nailed the application info for you vintagerunner. There should be a three digit code on the ignition switch that will tell the key code. Those look to be in good shape, even includes the "comfort pad" on top of the control box!? (Had quite a time sourcing that part for my last project!)

I'll have to check my current project to see what kind of shape the controls are in, might be a potential customer here. ;)
