Bill
If this is something that works out for you, I could put it at my place and when I get back to Portland I could bring it that far for you. My daughter lives in Portland and we visit her about every 30 to 45 days. The offer is open.

Hi Neil,
THanks for the heads-up and offer.
I have a Bearcat 85 on the way now.
Re this 55 I'll get hold of the owner and see if it's worth the combined effort.

Wish I could find a deal like that over here on this side of the states.
Hey Bill, could you help me out on the wiring diagram for a 1970 Bearcat.
Need to know how the warning light hooks up with the ignition switch. I have the complete harness and the light with the mounting plate. The ignition switch is the push to choke style.
Do you have any extra back plates for this control box or should I make one from sheet metal?

OOh. an 85 . That would be cool.

If anyone would like me to look at it I work in Spokane so it would be fairly easy for me to take a look after work one night. Let me know. I'd pick it up myself but I think my girlfriend would shoot me.

Sure Dave ring me over weekend and we'll get you setup re wiring.
I'll check on backing plate I can't recall if I have them but think so.
These are the rectangular late style controls with no key/light/horn??
GOt a pic?

So we would be saving your life?!
How many do you have now?
Twins would make that Unie a nice ship.

Bill R,
Yes it is the newer style control box. No horn or light in it. Separate dash mount starter switch and warning light holder.
Don't have a photo of the control. It is just like the one on Ebay for $175.00 rectangle shape and says Bearcat.

I think twins would compliment the Unie nicely.
I'd love to have a nice boat like that.

Well Bill I have two running now, the third is just kinda sitting. I just need to see if I can retro the new style cover to my older Homelite so at least the outward appearance will be the same. Its a shame too since I just refinished the older hood. Oh well gives me some motivation I guess. She put my cap at 4 boat motors ....... hummmm ........... I do still have the little 9.9 kicker i could get rid of ........
