Been having a lot of pain walking with my new lag so went to the doc yesterday and found out he screwed up in the end of the stump when he sewed things up in there and now have to have more surgery to get it right so I can walk again. I figured it out yesterday and in 6 years I have had 5 major surgerys. Dam I'm tired of being cut on and hurting. But this one had to be done so I can walk. Cant even make a good wooden leg to walk on till this is done.
The sad tales of a pirate. But this pirate will walk again.

Sorry to hear that they made an error that will cause more surgery.....stay positive (i know it is harder to do than for me to say) I only had two major in three years with a stroke in between and it was all about all I could handle. I did figure out in the process why they call it "practicing medicine". Keep smiling and god bless!

If all goes well the surgry will be the 19th of this month.
I said this pirater is going to walk now can't get much more postive than that. I'm not sitting on my A-- and crying. I got motors to work on and a G3 to restore
Just makes me mad he didn't get it right in the first pace.

Yea, it makes me mad too, Mike.....

Although its a sad setback, I am POSITIVE they will get it right this time, and you will have that STINGER powered G3 of yours RIPPING up the water by next spring!!! I am looking forward to some "target practice" with that CANNON too!!! hehehe!!!!!

i go in today to see my GP and get the ok for surtery monday. Not looking forward to this. Everytime they cut on me I wake up hurting. But the pain will go away as it always does but you dont forget it. Give me 3 months and if its done right I will be up and walking.
Got to get this all done I have a G3 to restore and get on the water by summer with a Stinger on it.

We are all pulling for you and in no time you'll be doing all those things they tell you not to do. When I had my knee replaced the doc said to do whatever I felt like. So I took the boat out and fished. Before the end of the day when I got home I went down to the basement. That is where the workshop and computer are. Of course it was swelled up when I went back and he asked me what i been doing. He was pissed when I told him and then I reminded him of what he said. STUPID DR didn't know me well enough.

Hi Mike--Glad to hear the surgery apparently went off with no complications. Hope you heal quickly.

My BF was talking today about trying to get to Tahoe this winter after all, so maybe we'll get a chance to meet in person. I'll keep you posted; it would probably be in February.

well everybody missed the fight at the hospital. I did tell the doc to get it right this time and he came all unglued and almost called the surgery off. You can't tell them they made a misstake. I just hope its right this time. If everything goes right I should bu up and walking on my new leg

Went to the doc today and had the stichs taken out and everything look good. Now have to wait 2 months before I can start working on walking again. Dam I'm going to get tired of waiting but not going to take a chance on hurting it or having any problems. Springs not that far off so I can start working on the G3.
