TOPIC: Lake Lanier "Wet Meet" 6-22-13 !

Several of the gang over on CGOA (Classic Glastron) are planning a wet meet get together next Saturday (6-22) on Lake Lanier. Since there are just a few of us, the invitation is open to any and all Glassic (Wood, 'Glass, or Lummies welcome!) as well! Come on out and join us, weather permitting of course.

I sure wish I could go! but it wont happen this year, take lost of pics and postem,
ive seen the lake by car and even know some people there. this lake could be a great place to hold a glasspar meet and get the florida-east coast and mid west people all together again.

Mark, Is this an annual meet? If so, like Jeff I could plan to make it next year as well. You are just 8 hours from us. I haven't been active with the CGOA since I sold the Glastron I had in 2008.
I haven't even got close to the water yet this year. My next scheduled event isn't until July 20, at Falls Lake just north of Raleigh. You are welcome to attend

We hope to make it an annual event Al, I'll do my best to post it a little sooner next year! We'd sure love to have both of you guys, and anyone else who would like to attend come on down. I've not been on Lake Lanier in years, so we'll have to see how it goes. I'm told this location on the North end of the lake is much less hectic than the main lake. My little GT doesn't deal with rough water well, I'm hoping it's going to work out okay.

I appreciate the invite, but I'm afraid the budget doesn't allow a lot of travel this year. Maybe I can make the trip up there next year, I'd love to come up and share some fun with ya', see that area as well.

I swore I was going to get out more this year, but have been having some back issues - so it's "all things in moderation".

So I went over to look at all the pics .....what pics......did it happen?

It starts at 11AM today Jeff, I'm headed out soon. 2 Boats have already backed out, but I think we have 5 coming. A meager start, but you have to start somewhere, right!? I'll post some pics tomorrow, hopefully.
