There seems to be a lot of confusion on this subject.
This has to do with the position of the motor and transom height.
Short shaft has a 15" transom height.
Long shaft is a 20" transom height.
In both cases the amount of motor sticking below the hull is THE SAME !!!!

Hi Karma....I'm thinking of powering a Catalina w/ twin Johnson 35's...is this folly...will a single 35 even get the boat on plane?
