TOPIC: 61 Rocket on the water

Hi, everyone;

Finally took our 1961 Shell Lake Rocket out for her maiden voyage today. She performed like a champ, absolute blast to drive. We love it!

how big of motor do you have on it. and what kind of speed are you getting. looks real good rob you should be proud, frog

We've got a 50HP Mercury Jet 45, 2-stroke/3 cylinder, oil injected. Speedometer showed 32mph on calm waters today. Definitely fast enough for us!

So glad you could get it out. That sure is a great looking boat both on and off the water! Lots of family time ahead.
