Friends,

A man here in San Antonio has a fourteen foot V-Bottom aluminum "open fisherman" for sale that was made by BUCCANEER III BOATS.
(He claims that it was bought new in 1958.)

The boat is on a 1958 DILLY trailer and the OB is a 1958 Gale 12D17B.

As I found ZILCH in our fiberglassics library or on any internet search engine, has anyone ever heard of that brand and/or know anything about it?

The boat looks VERY similar to most open tin boats, by StarCraft, Crestliner, etc, etc, etc.

The original "painted on" brand-name (on both sides of the boat just forward of the transom) is definitely BUCCANEER III.

I'm wondering it the hull was built by a small builder that just isn't on the internet.
