Hello All!
I picked up this boat and plan on restoring it, will be looking for advice and help locating stuff especially when it comes to the windshield. This is not something that will happen overnight, I plan on taking my time as I want it to look like it did when it rolled of the lot in 58.

Welcome aboard Ramrod, sorry you're having trouble posting the pics. I tried to "fiddle" with your post to get them to work, but no luck. There's a thread in the support section to help, might be worth checking out;

Well RAMROD... the system is acting pretty funny with your image. I could load your URL in a web browser... but couldnt insert the URL into the page.
Test that works:

Your boat... reloaded with a different file name:

HA, this thread isnt about my steering wheel... but thanks! 1959 Quicksilver... sand blasted, powder coated, new decal, plastic bushings and NOS center emblem. Restored in 2011.

OK not sure why but the jpeg pictures from my pc would not load here, could be the network I am on at work other than that not sure. Saved all pictures in the PNG image format and loaded them in the first post. Thanks for the initial help! Will definitely be looking for more as I stated before for windshield and windshield hardware etc..

RAMROD,
Looks like a great project! I really like the look of polished aluminum classic boats. I think it was "Split" that has a beautifully finished aluminum boat. If you look up his posts, you should be able to find it.

I may have a windshield that may work for you. I had EDS Plastics make a windshield for my G3, and it arrived with too large of a radius on the corners, so they made me another one, and didnt want this one back. It also has the deck gasket that goes with it... If you are interested, and the size is right... you can have it, just pay for the shipping. (...its just taking up space in my shop). Send me a PM if you are interested... i will get you some photos and measurements. ;)

Dean,

Thanks for the offer, I sent you an email.
I too love the polished aluminum look but the cap on the Resorter is fiberglass, so as it stands right now unless something/someone changes my mind the boat will be painted to match the factory colors of the Evinrude.

LOL, you are as bad as me :laugh: Did the windshield work out? If you come across one that is 54/55 inches wide let me know.
