TOPIC: Identify this boat, anyone??

Identify this boat, anyone?? 14 years 3 days ago #20064

A friend got this boat recently and we're trying to identify it.

Anyone know what it is and the year?

Thanks for any help

That's called a "My next project" lol. Good looking old boat. Sorry I can't help on the make, but if it was in my yard I know what I'd be putting together this winter! Is it as straight as it looks?

Some people are like slinkies... Not much good for anything, but they sure are fun to push down the stairs.

Straight except both sides of the motor well are bent down, which you can see if you look real close, and a 6" hole knocked in the bottom in the front. I can weld that up easy enough.

We hope to register it as whatever it is, rather than unknown or home made.

Yeah, I saw the bent rear areas. Those will be pretty easy to take care of. If nothing else, pick a name and register it. No one will ever know. lol

Does he wanna sell it?

yes that is a richline, i had a 1957 single cockpit.the modle name on mine was knight. the transom is alot of work to replace the inner wood , you will have to drill out alot of rivots to remove the motor well, and the angle braces that sandwich the wood to the rear skin. after figuering all that out i tryed to sell mine, and could not even get anybody to bite on it for 150.00, i then made a fishing boat out of it, sold that for 450.00, and the surplus aluminum for 75.00 . but it is a richline, and there is a website for them. i will check my files and see if i still have the address and let you know. frog. could not find the website just try richline, i think that is how i found it.
