TOPIC: anyone help identify old crestliner boat...+ fiber

I know where 2 old boats are sitting for years....
One is fiberglass the other is Alumi....Crestliner...Model # M8827...had a Merc 1000 on the back...closed bow...
Does have a trailer...lady wants them gone but not sure if its worth the headache of dragging it home....if she can't sell I believe it will be getting scrapped!....Needs everything....interior & Paint !

Any crestliner collectors out ther can help ID the boat let me know...


THe fiberglas I believe it to be a Chyrsler Hydro Vee...w/ trailer no motor or controls...transom was very weak///needs sopme repair work.

(no motors because I picked them )...

The Crestliner looks to be a mid-60's boat. retrocrestliner.com has catalogs up through '64 and I didn't see it in those. Most similar to a 16' Crest Rider from the '64 catalog.

The other boat is a late '60s/ early '70s Chrysler. I'm sure there is a Chrysler boat site on the web that could help you narrow it down.

I'm in the Chicago area. Where are you located?

thanks...I'll do some searching...I believe the Chyrsler to be that of a HydroVee..but they made several differenlt models.....

I'm full up on "projects" right now. Got 3 going- '58 Crestliner Explorer w/removeable fiberglass hardtop, '60 Lone Star El Dorado cruiser, '61 Texas Maid Tahiti.

I store one of my boats in Long Point, not far from you.

Haven't been to that place to eat. Only get down there a couple of times a year. Will be moving all my boats back to the family farm in western PA for the winter. I live in town and have to store them all off site. Tired of paying winter storage when I can store for free at the farm. Feel free to call sometime if you want to talk old boats. 312-933-0600
