I picked up my first tin boat yesterday, and looking forward to the restoration. I have a picture in my mind of what I want to do with the boat, and I will share more once I finalize what I am going to do. Right now I will focus on cleanup and figuring out what else needs to be done.

Bought it through an auction for $115. It has a new spare holder, tongue jack, and someone recently re-cabled the steering. Feels like I am halfway to throwing a motor on it already. I have a '55 Johnson 25 hp I could put on it, and I could make a good motor out of a pair of '57 Big Twin 35 hp

It was listed as a 1955 15 foot Larson Crestliner in the auction. Apparently it was last registered in MN in 2002. Not too sure of the model of the boat - maybe a Buccaneer? Hopefully one of you guys can help me out, with identification.

Here are some pictures from the original auction posting and pictures from pick-up and getting it home. Looking forward to working on it and getting some advice. One thing - I am thinking of a mirror buff on the sides. What product do you use to do that? I know what I would use on fiberglass.
