TOPIC: Ever seen something like this?

Just purchased this unique { the story tells only 3 were made } Russian boat. About 26ft with a 100Hp Mercedes diesel motor. Just sand-blasted and all parts and original documents are there. Ready for a long term restoration job.

Very cool looking boat!! Love the lines. I'd be so tempted to rip out that little diesel and drop in a 5.7l fuel injected Mercruiser inboard, but that's just me!

Here is a picture of the second one known of. As for the motor: If the motor should be changed it Must be a Russian Tschaika motor.It seems that it was a very fast ship.

Have the boat some months now and not started yet. It seems to be a project that is too big for me. In the meantime i found a lot more info on the boat. These boats are built from 1964 to 1994 by the Batumi shipyard in Russia.It is called "Project 1390 Stritz" . Up to 1974 they were only used for marine and coastguard purposes. From 1974 they were also made as pleasure boats for the wealthy people. The rarity of my boat is that it is the only documented boat that excists of the 3 boats that were part of the fregats KSS Halle, KSS Berlin and KSS Rostock. Mine was of the KSS Berlin. The boat is a great piece of history of the former Deutscher democratischen Reich { DDR } - Hope to find some help to start up the project and if not I will enjoy the fantastic lines every time i walk into the barn were it is stored.
