Need Wiring Diagram for 1972 Sea Ray SRV 180 I/O 4 years 10 months ago #139925

I'm looking for a wiring diagram for a 1972 Sea Ray SRV 180 I/O. This boat has the 3.7L 165HP MerCruiser 6cyl engine and outdrive.
Please contact me if you can provide a wiring diagram.
Thank you!

You can find the Mercruiser Service Manual at boatinfo.no/lib/mercruiser/manuals/mercruiser2.html#/0 It's free. You need to have the latest version of Adobe Flash on your computer to open it.

I have a 1972 Sea Ray SRV 190. Same engine. The restoration is at newboatbuilders.com/pages/SeaRay190.html

Actually the wiring on theses is pretty basic 12V DC wiring. I updated mine with a Battery Switch, a fuse block back near the battery and a fuse block under the dash where all the instruments and switches are. A lot of the wire needed replacing. (all of it in fact) I also installed a kill switch with a lanyard and a new ignition key switch (the old one was kaput) But mostly it is all a matter of replacing old wire and switches, and maybe instruments. Mine needs a new tach, which I have but haven't installed yet and a new speedometer. The hour meter doesn't work either but I really don't care.

Good luck with your project. If you need any advice just ask.
