THe motor doesnt seem to want to idel, the mid range is suffering too. And the top end I guess is a bit off as well.

It looks to me like the problem is a couple of missing pistons...
maybe if you put them in ..it would run better... |

ya i was thinkin the piston too. chew some gum and plug off that hole and then add a piece of ducktape over it. then put the stuff back together. if you gut an extra nut or screw left ovah after you put the stuff together don't worry about it cause it most likely was extras anyways. then she will be as good as new!!!!

I've got a Merc 50hp with a similar problem. Mine came with the optional high performance 2-piece crankshaft...

Hey dont toss all them parts,thats an odd ball motor. That guy in SC will buy all merc 6cyl parts. And it makes me think about putting upper and lower crank seals in my 1250.........
