TOPIC: Harveys Lake PA?

I'm starting a new thread here so I am not hijacking John Gibson's cool thread about that boat he's doing for his mom and Ed!

Harveys Lake. What's the date? Is it August 7?

Harveys lake is 200 fairly easy (4 lane) miles for us, Mapquest says about 3 1/2 hours. That's closer than Hammondsport, with is 242 miles, and Mapquest says close to 4 1/2 hours away!

I don't have the cash to be running all over the darn place for stuff like this, so how about some more info on the meet at Harveys Lake? How much to register, where to stay, stuff like dat.

Another few hours, we're off to the Great Sacandaga in the southern Adirondacks, burn some gas.

I'm with ya Frank. I wish there was some meets further down south (closer to Kentucky) but maybe someday I will travel to Pa. or Ny. To a boat meet. Happy fathers day to all!!

people arrive much before 1:00pm. theres a pizzeria/restaraunt on site. we stay in wilkes-barre fri. night and then its a short drive to harveys in the morning.

There is a good meet at Dale Hollow lake Burkesville KY. Sep. 24/25. 2010 put on by Bluegrass chapter a.c.b.s. Paris Ky. and Greater Cincinnati chapter go to A.C.B.S. site click on chapter in your area and then click on KY. then 2010 Rendezvous registration form for info.

We'll see Ron. Still having problems getting on plane and not porpoising. Not much of a show boat, want it to work better!

Don't let that be a concern, Frank. The first year I had my boat finished, I didn't even have a motor. Harveys is relativly small, and pretty informal, laid back show. Good eats at the grotto restaurant. Nice lake and parade lap if interested.

Not exactly ready to cruise:

Jim, I guess the point is it's no fun dragging a boat around with a motor that doesn't perform. Point in case - my wife won't get back in it till it's "fixed." That takes a lot of the fun out of it.
