Just purchased this 1957 or 1958 Flare 14' runabout. It came with a 1958 Mark 58. After looking closely at the sides of this boat it shows (feintly) the it had this written on it.... Mercury Mark 28 for fisherman. It makes me think that the boat was used in a water ski show. I'm wondering if anyone here could help me find out which one. I contacted the Tommy Bartlett show and they said they didn't use Flare Boats. I would like to restore it to what it might have looked like if used in a show.
