I have a dorsett catalina that I am remaking the bifold doors. the original was gone when I got it. Anyone have a picture of the mechanism that holds your doors closed?

Concrete block would probably shift around under way. You need something more stable.

go to your search and type in bifold door latch you will get a few but one in particular is the channel thats slides over the top of the two doors with a wand holds both doors together not a lock a latch and you slide it to one side or the other with the wand its from Kidco

The boat pictured in my NBR post was broken into twice in the past...Im not messin around anymore, during my rebuild next year, considering this as an alternative to Teak w/latches .....also stain resistant! still thinking out that whole floatation issue.

Thank you for one helpful idea. I have come up with an idea that I think will satisfy the latching requirement that I have and not look like a brick tied to the door. I will post it up when I have a prototype built.
