Above idle she pumps great. Glad the light and warning horn works,
If we get hot we just fire up the Minn Kota trolling motor until the Bearcat cools down. I got it down to a science. :laugh:
If I get into some weeds it will get hot too! Nature of the beast.

Have you descaled the block?
I have a blue block F on my power cat, it wasn't pumping good at idle either. Removed starter, port water jacket cover, found scaled piled up restricting water flow. Removed the scale (I use a wet/dry vacuum), then used a small pick and screwdriver to remove any loose scale, reinstalled jacket cover. Pumps fantastic now at idle even on hose.

I'd agree with Bill, for as much as mine idle, the two F block engines have never been overheated.
