TOPIC: 1962 aluminum Grumman G19 outboard

1962 aluminum Grumman G19 outboard 9 years 1 month ago #116308

I want to learn more about the appeal of my 1962 Grumman G-19 outboard. It is flush-riveted, aluminum, very light and fast. If anyone has any info, ideas or suggestions on how I can learn more about it, its value, its appeal in the market, I will be grateful for any comments. Thank you.

Pictures of your G19 would help a lot. Grumman makes great boats.

Wow a G-19!

Glad to see you join us. That is a rare Grumman model.

I've got a 1956 Alumacraft Cruiseabout that is 19' 2", so we are in the same neighborhood!

The boat is in outstanding condition. My father bought it new. It has been in the water only 3 times. Been stored indoors since purchased new in 1962 at a boat show. Dad talked about how this boat won the famed 300 min Long Island boat race. Apparently this boat comes up on top of the water nicely and is very fast, lightweight. Paint needs to be buffed, but this would be a cream puff to the right buyer. Beautiful Trailex aluminum trailor too. I will work on loading pictures.

Sweet! I have this brochure, actually more current for our 1962 boat. Any thoughts on its value in the market today? With the Trailex aluminum trailor? Our boat has been in the water only 3 times since purchased new in 1962. I appreciate your comments.

Probably only about 2 grand.

It's really no different than a ton of other aluminum boats from that era.
