Title: 28th Annual Door County Classic and Wooden Boat Festival
Message Details
A fun weekend on Wisconsin’s Door Peninsula begins with a pre-event 10 mile Bay to Lake Lighthouse Cruise on Friday the 10th. From the museum the cruise passes Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding one of the Great Lakes great shipyards to Green Bay and the Sherwood Point Lighthouse. Then it’s back into Sturgeon Bay for lunch. After lunch the cruise continues through the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal to the shore of Lake Michigan and the US Coast Guard Station and Lighthouse. We turn out on the big lake and head back to the museum. That evening brings a cocktail reception in the museum for participants of the festival. The boat show opens Saturday along with an adjacent street festival, Maritime on Madison. There are kids’ activities, food, shopping, fireworks and music to enjoy along with the boats on display. In addition, the Sikaflex Challenge boatbuilding contest begins. Sunday brings the wild Sikaflex boat time trial races and the conclusion of the festival. Please see the festival’s website at https://nam03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=www.doorcountyclassicboatfestival.com&data=02%7C01%7C%7C656335032cf4498880ca08d576ee3401%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C636545687822944690&sdata=KV9dzX0QGSJq0GYBVY0eTzzyALALKjWW1PDr4NyeFok%3D&reserved=0 for more details.
