Coupling fixation is not the same on the new Mercruiser model than the old one. The CRANKSHAFT is différent. Does anyone have a solution? What a beautiful job. That model is the first boat I ever refurbished, same interior back in 1985. The Buick V6 motor is a beast and can take a lot of punishment and parts are still available. If you cannot get your problem solved with the coupling you might want to rethink putting the original motor back in or get a Mercury outdrive.

Hello,
I’m actually thinking of putting back the original engine, an omc 120hp. I was wrong looking at the serial numbers of the boat. It is a reveler 120 and not a 155 as I originally thought. I have put on sale my Mercruiser 140
Changing the outdrive requires completely redoing the back panel. I don’t want to do this work. I want to keep the boat as it was originally.

I cleaned it, but I didn’t test it. I don’t have what it takes here. Actually the parts come from a omc 155 but the engine I install is the original 120 hp engine. These pieces are replacement pieces in case of breakage. In france parts become rare and expensive !
For specific equipment it would be cool but I live in france!!
