Slayton Boats began with Art Olson developing and producing fiberglass boats in Slayton, Minnesota to be sold through the Pipestone Sales Company. A new venture, Limit Products, Inc., was formed to independently produce boats in Slayton. The company was reorganized in 1957 to become Slayton Boat Industries.
