Talk:Speed Queen

After some careful consideration and cross-referencing of model information with other sources, I have come to the conclusion that the full-color Speed Queen brochure listed as from 1959 is in actuality a 1960 brochure. The black and white brochure of unknown year is in fact a 1959 brochure. When I originally submitted these brochures over a year ago to FiberGlassics, I assumed the color brochure was from 1959 because of a Speed Queen price-list with the 1959 date was included when I purchased the brochure. However, since the Cruisette Deluxe model is neither fully detailed in the black and white brochure nor in the 1959 pricelist but is instead fully described in the color brochure, I must conclude these brochures are of different years, specifically that the black and white brochure is a 1959 brochure and the color brochure is a 1960 brochure. This judgment is corroborated by model listing information from the 1963 Outboard Boat Trade-In Guide published by ABOS, most relevantly the weight change in the regular Cruisette model (600 lbs in 1959, 650 lbs in 1960) which also serves to date these brochures. Given this development, I propose to re-submit the black and white brochure and color brochure with revised file names that correctly identify their respective years.
