Admiral Boat Company
Tampa, Florida
This manufacturer is known from several examples of fiberglass boats very similar in design to Performer Boats manufactured in California. No original literature has been located yet but will be added when available.
A corporate entity, "Admiral Boat Company" was applied for October 8, 1960 and dissolved June 28, 1965. No address, officers, or other information was preserved from this corporate filing (see 1960 information below).
According to the article below, the company was in bankruptcy in early 1962 when a fire destroyed the rented building in the Oldsmar Industrial Park near Tampa, Florida. Contents at the time of the fire are listed as wooden boat patterns, chemicals, fiberglass materials, and several boats. The building was owned by Victor Sellers, a developer and Oldsmar city councilman at the time of the fire. See the article here: February 22, 1962 St. Petersburg Times
