Razorback
In 1957 two Arkansas businessmen, James Cripps and Harry Brown, decided to jump on that bandwagon and give it their all. Starting with little more than a single stall garage and a dream, the brother-in-law duo completed their first boat in early spring of 1958. Dubbed the "Ski Jet", it was an instant success and the Razorback Fiberglass Corporation was born. Even though the company is now long gone.
Originally based in Little Rock, Ar. They were purchased in 1959 by Arkla Industries (Arkla Gas), and built a new facility in Malvern, Ar complete with their own test lake. Eventually sold to Ouachita Boats around 1968.
James Cripps worked at Cutter in Indiana or whereever it was, and bought a '57 Cutter Jet Deville before leaving the company. They used that boat to make a mold to build their ski jet.
