The book "Tail Fins and Two-Tones" lists a Fiberglass Boat Co., Inc. of Waverly, Nebraska in 1957, later changed to FibraGlass Boat Co., Inc. of Waverly in 1958, and finally Fibra Glass Boat Co., Inc of Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1959. A 1959 newspaper article indicates the Fibra-Glass Boat Co. of Arkansas began operations in Hot Springs on April 30 of 1959. This company is noted as a subsidiary of the Guardian Boat Co. of Waverly.
One Guardian boat, believed to be a 1957 model, has been found with a tag indicating place of manufacture to be Arkadelphia, AR. Obviously the history of Guardian Boats is unclear and further research is needed. More information will be added as it becomes available.
